The IDA Clinics at New Designers were a great success with over 90 recent graduates and students getting involved.
Most of the young people received one to one feedback on their portfolios from the experienced interior designers from IDA member practices. They were given suggestions for improvements in presentation and content as well as advice on how to approach potential employers, gain appropriate experience and meet any gaps in their education to date.
IDA MD Colin Watson thanked all the interior designers for their valuable support. 'Thank you to all the interior designers who got involved from Gensler, Design Coalition, HLM, Dexter Moren, Max Bentheim, Charles Leon Associates, RPW Design, Trevillion Interiors and Another Cup. Their advice and support were invaluable and the students found it an incredibly helpful and positive experience. This support of the educational process is core to the IDA strategy to improve the opportunities and effectiveness of new graduates when they seek employment.'
