Haworth at the Clerkenwell Design Festival 2012 takes the theme of 'Human Performance'. Inspired by a current research project with the Royal College of Art on the influence of theatre design on workplace environments, our showroom features furniture, spaces, activities and images all about enhancing performance at work. Displays will include an update on our theatre design research project, entitled Living Stages, as well as new work by Animation and Illustration students from the RCA and also exhibitions from the Central School of Speech & Drama exploring ideas about the body, movement, performance and productivity.
Throughout the 3 day festival we will also encourage visitors to take part in an interactive exercise entitled ‘The workspace I wanted’. Visitors will be given a white box, which can be customised in
any way they want, with the option to cut out windows/doors to connect it to other boxes. Visitors can take their creation away with them or leave them in the showroom creating a ‘tower of workspaces’.
